How can you teach a kid to trust again, to take a chance on another person? Especially when he can't trust himself or believe in himself anymore?

You love him.

And if you really do that and if you don't stop and you survive his testing, then a kid can believe he is really okay. Really good, really worth it, because nobody would love a piece of garbage. (Bruce Ritter)
