Lindsey wants to know "Where You all Live"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

She wants to know why she can never see any of you! She is going to get a big map and put a star where everyone is from. So if you post or have ever posted here, please sign up with a city, county, state, however she can find you. In a few days I will print it and give it to her to work on. Should keep her busy for a while. Thanks to all!

Avonmore, Ontario. If your map is only of the States, it might show Cornwall, right across the St Lawrence from Massena, New York. You can put my star there; it's close enough. The easy way to find it (without using the letters and numbers grid) is to follow the St. Lawrence out of Lake Ontario till you get to Massena; you might even find Cornwall on the Canadian side. Cornwall is/was the smuggler's capital of Ontario, and is DOWNstream from Lake Ontario. Because of the way the river flows, SOUTHern Ontario is called UPper Canada, and Quebec, to the NORTH, is called LOWer Canada. Now there's a little geography trivia for the bus ride to school:o)

City of Sao Jose dos Campos (half a million pop.), state of Sao Paulo, country of Brazil. We live 100km out of Sao Paulo on Brazil's busiest highway going to Rio de Janeiro, in the Paraiba River Valley, sanduiched between the Mantiqueira Mountains and the dropoff to the coast. Here is Embraer (the airplane industry) and the aerospace industry. We have three big shopping centers and even more McDonald's golden arches polluting the skies. We even have a Pizza Hut and two Cinemark theatres with 12 and 6 salas.

Venha nos fazer uma visita; vai gostar!
