Hey lickwid. i live in st pete and i moved here from miami/ft lauderdale a few months ago and the scene sucks here. i went to masquerade a few months ago for monk and then the next week for afrika bambaata and that was cool. you should check out www.8up.com if you haven't already. that is the only site i know of that has any info at all about raves in tampa. i live in downtown st pete. if you're ever down here, email me so we can meet up. i'm always into meeting new people. oh, but only for this month because my hubbie and i are moving to new orleans next month. anyways, enough rambling. hope i helped you a little bit.

The Florida rave scene is THRIVING! Granted it's not as amazing as it was back in the late 80s and early 90s, but it's still definitely kicking much ass... the scene in Southeast Florida (Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beach) is outstanding, with tons of new parties on a continual basis. The scenes in Tampa and Orlando hold a close 2nd to SEFL, while the scenes in Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Gainesville are in major need of some activity boosts.
