Amy Dacyczyn retired the Tightwad Gazette several years ago. She has come out with a book containing all of the newsletters. It is called the Complete Tightwad Gazette. Sorry for the bad news. BB

Amy retired from printing the newsletters a few years ago. There is a compilation of the newsletters, plus the books, called "The Complete Tightwad Gazette", by Amy Dacyczyn. I believe I got my copy at Amazon.com.

I got a copy on eBay for next to nothing a couple of months ago. It's really a great book! Geez! I'm even too much of a tightwad to buy it new from Amazon! :-)

Hello Tiffany, Amy wrote three books, TG 1, TG 2, and TG 3. Then she wrote a final edition compiling her first three books and adding a couple of hundred more of her news colums and created The Complete Tightwad Gazette. I do not have a copy of it but, I do have the other three books. They are my frugal bibles these days. I hope you will discover how great they are yourself.

Sincerely,

Ernest

I got my books from Christian Book Distributors--they are great to deal with. You can call it in or do it by the net. Here's the link: http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/search/59862740? field=title&query=Tightwad+Gazette&action=Go%21&nav_search=1 This link will take you directly to the page with her three books. I think she also has a 3 in 1 book available. They're really worth having. They ship right away if they have it in stock.

It is good if you can find this book at a lowere price, BUT even if you have to pay the full price it is well worth buying!!!

Tiffany, Go to bookfinders.com. Put in author and name of book. I just did this and got a list of copies (new & used) a mile long. Prices went from $2.99 to $12.99 per copy depending on bookstore, age and condition. Most were around $5. Good Luck!

Anyone want to sell their copy? Probably no takers, right?

I have her first book (gift), but I have ALL of her newletters, which include letters and other things not in the books. They are invaluable and I wouldn't trade them for anything. She changed my outlook on finances and what was possible.

Deborah - Are you sure you mean bookfinders.com? I went to that site and they are selling porn videos, etc. Not exactly what I was looking for.

-- Cindy in NY (cjpopeck@worldnet.att.net), December 20, 2001.

Cindy is right. www.bookfinders.com does take you to a porno sales site. However, I am positive I have gone to bookfinders in the past and it was a search engine of books for sale. Perhaps it was www.bookfinders.org. A search on bookfinders turned up 1415 listings.

Ken, it is bookfinders.org. There are a bunch of listing for Tightwad Gazette.

OOPS! I get so used to typing .com that I wasn't paying attention. Yes, it is bookfinders.org ! (Although considering that some people refer to .org as "dot orgy" maybe that would have been a better name for the other site!) Sorry!

-- Deborah Stephenson (wonkaandgypsy@hotmail.com), December 21, 2001.

WAIT! DISREGARD MY PREVIOUS MESSAGE!!! I was right the first time (sort of). It is .com, but the word BEFORE it is bookfinder (singular). In other words type this exactly... bookfinder.com. I tried the one I gave you before, and got the porn site too. So I assumed since others found books on bookfinders.org that it must be the right place. Then my husband pointed out the problem. Sorry about the mixup!
