Cats doing well, much calmer

Hi, sorry I have not posted an update, but my 6 yr old re-broke his arm Friday night. He got it in a cast yesterday but it is worse than the 1st time and he goes back in a week to see if they are going to do surgery. He broke it the first time at school, this time about a month after getting his cast off, he broke it skating. Got knocked down and big boy ran over his arm with skates. Snapped both bones in his arm over again in the exact same places. His grandmother feels guilty because she gave the kids money to go skating. (if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.) The cats were ill at me no doubt. They hid away under beds for the first 3 days, but have come out and are lying on the back of the couch and the loveseat. Tom cat,(Jinx) injured himself somehow and bled all over the house Sunday. He is okay now. Jasmine has done fine, a little bit slower on her feet and all, but she goes to doc in 2 weeks to take stitches out. Had their Feline Luk. Shots but have to wait on the others until 2 weeks to afford it all. Doc. agreed to wait till then. Very nice old man, him and his wife run small clinic by themselves next to their house. They just charge flat fees for everything, no added fees, or taxes. They don't even own a computer they just write everything out on a notepad. Very low-tech you know, guess that's how they keep fees lower. Cat has not been peeing on everything. They are still not back to their original appetites yet. Think they will be fine in a few days, and we don't have to worry about unwanted kittens. I really appreciate this, everyone who donated money for this I thank so much. I didn't expect it from the initial response I got to the first question. Came looking for information and received so much more. Thanks Again, I'll keep you updated.

Hi Vanessa, sorry to hear about your son's arm rebreaking, I'm sure THIS time will be the charm and he'll heal right up.

Glad to hear the kitties are over the initial trauma of the ordeal at the vet's, he and his wife sound wonderful, the service they are providing for the folks in the area.

To prevent the kitties from re-visiting any "favorite" peeing areas, I have used the carpet protector rolls of clear plastic, sold in runners of six to eight feet usually, the kind for deep pile carpet that has longish pokey things on the underside, turned pokey side up, as a great method of discouraging re-use of favorite spots. It is easily cut to fit the areas needing protection.
