Are you in NYS and what part? So many variables here to give an answer to you. Price depends on registered or grade, breed, show type, age , etc. My neighbor sells her does, Alpines, some grades and some registered from $75. and up. She has Boer crosses as well and they start higher.

Hi Joy,

The price of goats will vary as to what part of the state you are in. Near NYC they tend to be more as you are not only near an area where there is a higher cost of living but also a huge market with more demand than supply. In other parts of the state its about the same as in other parts of the country. We lived in western NYS and raised Nubians when we lived there.

If you are looking for a really nice bred registered Alpine doe I have a dear friend there who is selling one of her does that was bred to a buckling I sold her last spring, very fine young buck he is. She is asking 170.00 for her. If you are interested let me know and I can privately e-mail you her information.

Hi we live in Upstate NY. It depends if your looking for Registered Goats or unregistered. Some Farms are reducing there herds and you can find some good bargains. I'm on quite a few goat sites. E-mail us if you wants some addresses.

I'm in NJ and I'm selling two Boer does. I'm asking $250 for a registered 3/4 bred doe, 4 years old and $200 for 15/16 kid, 9 months old. The doe had triplets, one of which won reserve champ at 4H fair. Kid is considered pure.

It's like everyone else said, it depends on what you are looking for. Milkers or meat, registered or not, floppy ears, solid colors, large, miniature, etc.
