I am constantly blessed by all of the people on this forum! I just wanted to say a big THANKS! to all of those that responded to my post concerning the "bad scare" and my husband's troubles with kidney stones! Thanks to all of those that responded with advice, understanding, recipes, humor, and EVERYTHING! I really appreciate it! He is doing well! Drinking lots of water and lemon juice! Still can't get him to touch the vinegar! We tried though!:~)!! Have a wonderful week! And may you all be as blessed as you have blessed me!!!!!! THANKS! Nan :~D!!!!

I still like the idea of a lemon-juice "boilermaker" with a beer chaser - repeat ad lib. Really sounds ideal - "come on dear, have another beer". Although plain water with lemon or lime(!) juice added is very refreshing, and you could add a bit of honey and serve it warm in cold weather.

Ha! Don! I knew it wasn't just iced tea you drank in that land down under! heeheeheehee! I will tell my husband your ideas! I will tell him that it is an old Australian kidney stone custom! heehee!

I snail-mailed all the info to my son-in-law so he could try either the lemon juice or the cider vinegar

The lemon juice is working great so far! He has been drinking about 2 cups of it a day in different recipes, mostly lemonade. It apparently works well!

I am sorry I missed the helpful hints to preventing kidney stones. I am a 23 y/o female and those things I thought were literally going to be the death of me. I have had 2 in my short life and have had no children but they tell me that I wont have any trouble enduring the pain of childbirth. I tell them I think I could have open heart surgery with no pain meds. Anyway I would like someone to email me some hints. Thanks. Holly
