first, go to www.DONA.org, and read up on the certification stuff (in fact, i would recommend reading everything you can on their site...it's really full of info). and here's a direct link to the training workshops in your areahttp://www.dona.org/current.html#Region 4

however, this info is only for DONA, one of several certifying organizations. check some of the other posts here for other groups offering certification.
