Books available (E-Bay)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I just started listing books on E-Bay again, and included a number of titles which may be of interest to other homesteaders/CS readers. The address is below, sorry, but I don't know how to do a link! I will list more titles next week.

I don't know why people want to put in these long links. Just go to www.ebay.com, then to Search, then to By Seller, then just input ekfla@aol.com. Will get you right to the listings.

As long as someone isn't a professional book seller, we don't have a problem with this type of thread. It is difficult to know what something is worth. Thus, putting it up for auction works on the principle of something is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

Ken, this may have been a case of computer ignorance on my part. I figured it would be easier to copy the address and paste it into the window and hit go than it would be to try to get to the search page. This way seems faster, too, since you wind up having to only go to one page. If anyone can tell me how to make a link, I'd appreciate it- that seems like the best way to go anyway.

I found copy and paste to work great it went straight to you listings.

Yup, long links are not a problem and actually preferred here. Simply copy and paste. To do a search by user I'd either have to remember the users name or most often copy and paste anyway.

Hi Elizabeth! I have a little cheat sheet next to my computer with instructions on how to make a link. I"m going to have to trick the computer so it shows the code rather than making a link. So in the example below when you see {, replace it with < and when you see } replace it with >. Does that make sense? When you want to make a link in a post, type the following line.

{a href="http://insert the address here"}insert a name here{/a}

Here's a link to your books: Elizabeth's Books
