will cooking beef well done kill the ANTHRAX virus? Will vinegar kill the virus? If not what will?

anthrax is caused by a bacteria (Bacillus anthracis). thank god it isn't a virus! the cdc (center for disease control) website says that eating poorly cooked meat from an infected animal can lead to gastronintestinal anthrax, so I guess that implies that if it's cooked well, then it's ok. If they are your animals, and you butchered them, though, there would probably be a good chance of you getting it, no matter how well you cooked the meat.

anthrax is found naturally in/near rotting flesh,, so dont eat rotting meat, dispose of the carcus quickly,household bleach kills if very effeectively

What if it is in beef that was not caught before going to slaughter? There is a story that supposedly mentions 28 cattle dying of anthrax in CA, but they do not think it is terrorist related. http://www.rense.com/general16/anthh.htm Even if this is not true... what about those naturally occuring anthrax spores that are ingested by a living animal right before slaughter? I would guess they are tested right?

There are anthrax outbreaks,in livestock, every year. I've heard of them in most of the cattle states--California, Texas, Montana, etc..
