Try google! When I got a Lhasa Apso I went and search and found several clubs that contain information. Also try Discovery.com Animal Planet link they all the info on the breeds and a 'What breeds are right for you ?'It should contain all the info you desire!

I had a Brittany when I was growing up. Loving, intelligent dog. They train easily, have a heart of gold, good kid dog.

Hi Stephanie, we have a beautiful Brittany Spaniel. He is smart and loving. We do not hunt birds but he will 'point' and 'flush' the birds with very little training! He wants to please--Will do ANYTHING for my son (it's his dog). BUT he is very jealous of the other dogs (we have 8). He is 10 years old and we have had him since he was 8 weeks old. When my son left for college-- he was lost--would not eat for days! They seem to be a "one man dog". My dad raised & trained Britts for years and had the same experince that we have had with ours. He did have one (out of hundreds) that was "crazy as a loon". We just used him for a pet because he wanted to play not work. But never had even one that was mean or agressive. Don't get me wrong they will stand their ground and will guard their property till death. They do not like to be chained or kenneled --they need to be with people and 'hunt'. They are great with small children. We do keep ours kenneled approx 5 hrs. a day but he has a fit when it is time to go out! Oh, one other thing--they need lots of brushing! I do mine weekly in the summer and more often in the fall.. They love water and mud!!Good luck.

I had one growing up and plan to have one in the future. I believe now that they are called Brittanys (have lost the spaniel part). There is a brittany rescue organization.
