Hi there

I've just been reading some responses regarding worming and I was wondering if the wormer I use is adequate - its called Flubenvet. Is this wormer ok? Thanks

Katherine

Katherine, what are you worming? Never heard of that kind of wormer. I worm sheep, cows, horses, dogs, cats and chixs. I could help you if you need infor on those animals but am quite interest in this wormer you mention, thought I knew all the different kinds of wormers!

You are in England? How about a list of ingredients on the wormer. Thanks! Vicki

Yes, sorry, I'm used to writing on a board just for poultry. Im worming hens (Buff orpi's and light sussex)and I am in England. The active ingredient is flubendazole 2.5%. What do you use? Thanks for replying. :-)

That sounds like the product in my animals wormer. For hens I use Wazine which of course is an American Company the ingredient is piperazine. The product is for roundworms and stomach worms for poutry. I give it only once a year, I have my chixs locked up in a house and run. I worm in spring here. I am not sure why one can't use other animal wormers for chixs though. For instance, I spend a fortune on wormer for our pet dog. Reading the ingredients it is the same thing I give the horses. So., why can't I lower the dose. Because I am too scared too!!

debbie as long as the ACTIVE ingredient is the same you can use it on your dog. I use a cattle wormer on my dogs. This is what us breeders do to save themselves money when they have numerous dogs. I order most stuff from kv vet supply also to save even more money.
