Today, October 6, we members of the Catholic Church family honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- saints whose souls are now in heaven:

St. Bruno (German, priest, teacher, hermit, founder of Order of the Carthusians, d. 1101)
Bl. Marie Rose Durocher (Canadian, co-foundress of Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, d. 1849 [beatified 1982])
St. Baithen of Iona (Irish, abbot, c. 600)
Bl. Isidore of Saint Joseph (Belgian, Passionist brother, d. 1916 [beatified 1984])
St. Magnus (Venetian, bishop, c. 660)
St. Mary Frances of the Five Wounds of Christ (Italian, virgin, Franciscan tertiary, stigmatist, spiritual counselor, d. 1791)
St. Mummolinus (Scottish, monk, bishop in France, c.686)
