What theories and concepts help to explain the events in this case?

Selective Attention on the senior teacher's part. Stereotyping on the teachers part-conviction that an authoritarian manner was the only thing that worked with these children. Self Fullfilling Prophecy-expect students to do poorly so they do. Sandra guilty of Projection Bias- She believed the teachers had the same beliefs and behaviours as she did.
