I Need Pickled Peppers and Beef Jerky Recipes

Help! I need a couple of good recipes for pickling sliced banana and jalapeno peppers, and also one for making beef jerky in an electic oven (I do not have a dehydrator!). Thanks for your input!

For my Pickled Peppers, both hot and sweet: Wash, seed and slice peppers. Place in a pint sized jar. Add one clove garlic to each jar. Add boiling brine (2 cups water, 2 cups vinegar, 1/4 cup salt) to cover peppers. Screw on lids, and process in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes after the water returns to boil. Let them age 3 weeks before using. Good eating! Deborah

I would tell you my secret Jerky recipe but I would have to kill you. (I'm only joking)

As soon as I can find my recipe I will get back in touch with you. It will be the only recipe you will need. Nothing is as good as this one. And it is easy to make, but it doesn't last long cause everybody will eat it up in no time.

I'm back! Couldn't give you the recipe last night cause I was running out of time. But here it is.

7 STEP JERKY

2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 c. worcestershire sauce 2 tsp. onion powder 2 tsp. seasoned salt

2/3 tsp. black pepper 2 tsp. accent

1/2 c. soy sauce 3 lb. beef or venison

Slice meat into strips about 3/8" thick to ensure total saturation while it is marinating.

In container, combine all ingredients and stir mixture well with a spoon. Place meat strips in marinade, making sure they are totally submerged. Place in frigerator and marinate overnight. Run toothepicks through one end of strips and hang from highest rack inside oven. Place drip pan below hanging strips. Turn oven on to the lowest setting possible and leave oven door cracked open about 1/2". This allows moisture to escape and creates a better draft. Dry in oven for about 6-8 hrs or until meat is dry but still leathery. Enjoy!
