I know there are a lot of these out west but what about near NC? I'd love to go to one. Is there a site where you can get info about them?

Yes there are, in fact there is a company i called a few yrs back based out of NC that provideds workshops, festivals, etc aboutnrenewable energy. I think i got their # out of a Mother earth news or Countryside Mag, maybe both as they heavily advertize. I think this goes back about 4-5 yrs ago when i called. i sure wish i could recall the name. If you have any old isssues that may help or someone here might have the information.

Actually, someone once told me that Pittsboro was the site of some sort of Alternative or Renewable energy conference or program or some such. Maybe contact the Pittsboro Chamber of Commerce and see what they have to say.
