I am looking for floor plans depicting a home with a root cellar and/or greenhouse for new construction. I would also like the plans to include any possible ways to include alternative power, etc. I live in central Virginia, Richmond area, and would like to stay within 2 hours of Richmond to be near my family. The start of such a project may be a while in coming, but it will help me stick to my goals until that time comes. Thank you for your input! Kay Smiley

Go to www.organicgardening.com and click on the 'Archives' link. There is a complete set of plans (both text and diagrams) for building your own root cellar. It's quite easy to do. I'm going to do it to when I get a round tuit.
