To me DG is the record label that introduced me to Stockhausen in a variety of hunky '60s and '70s sleeves. Most of them were purchased secondhand, often in brand new or only played 0.2 condition (ie the Lester Bangs "Sister Ray Test").

Now that Stockhausen has bought back the rights to most of his works and issued them on his own megla-costly Verlag label (one CD + 120 pages he expects you to read not uncommon), I'm glad DG took the gamble and gave him the (genius or Mozart ?) treatment when they did.

I have nothing to say about administrator-known-as-DG other than to thank him for providing another means whereby my name and writings may be viewed by a wider public -- Stockhausen is my hero.
