Alternative/Herbal medicine sites (Health)greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
Would appreciate alternative/herbal websites that provide info regarding ailments, and suggested treatments and/or supplements - specifically for women. Thanks.

In health.com's website there is "The People's Pharmacy" section, it is very informative and easy to use! Also, "The People's Pharmacy" is a radio program on NPR on at 7 AM on Saturday mornings.

holisticonline.com and shirleys-wellness-cafe.com are good sites. Check the links or go to google and type in your request. There are thousands of choices.

If you don't mind, I don't know a web site but a suggestion on a book that is fantastic. Prescription for Nutritional Healing by Drs. Balch and Balch. Excellent book. When someone asks me for advice, I say, "Let's look it up in the book." I even say that when standing in a health food store and people are asking for advice. "Look it up in the book" They always seem to know which book I'm talking about too.

Thank you ladies, for your suggestions - I'll check them ALL out. I'm 57 and don't have anyone I can comfortably discuss certain issues with and don't want to consult with a doctor. The ability to read from a good book or search the web for answers is a great comfort. Thanks again. Victoria
