Create a CD from VCD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have a Karaoke system at home, and I bought quite a few VCD and DVD for that. I would like to copy those sounds into audio CDs, so that I can play those sounds in my car. I wonder how can I turns the sound tracks in VCD or DVD into the format(s) which I can then burn them into CD-R.

Hi, Chang ! For DVD, you need a ripper software to extract the sound track, then convert it to .wav format file and finally burn it on cd with some software like a EZ-creator, Nero etc.. For VCD, my solution is to play it with a Karaoke home system, and use some sound software (like a soundforge, Cusebase etc...)to record the music in .wav file format, and then finally burn it on cd. Otherwise, look at www.vcdhelper.com
