I live about 18 miles inside Oklahoma which is considered the foot hills of the Ozarks. In the same area of the book/movie "Where the red ferns grow".

Response to The Ozarks

Hey Russel, we must be neighbors! I live in eastern OK too, in the beautiful Cookson Hills!

Russell and Mona,

You're both near where we lived for years and years, and my Mom still does, so we still get to visit the area. We lived near the Cherokee County line between Fort Gibson and Tahlequah. I lived there through my high school years, and after marrying, my husband and I built a house and our children were born there. My Mom lives on top of a hill (we always called it the mountain) and we lived on the side near the bottom. I sure miss it from time to time (except the heat and humidity :-)).
