Need a chocolate covered pretzel recipe?

Looking for a recipe to make chocolate covered pretzels for the church fund raising affair.

Funny you should post this today, we just made a large batch with our visiting nephews today. We take a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and melt them over low heat on the stove with a little milk added to make the chocolate spreadable. We use the large pretzel rods and dip them and spread the chocolate over them, then roll them in various sprinkles while it's still sticky. Lay them out on wax paper and let it cool and harden. We've sold these at fundraisers for 50 cents each. You can also use white chocolate and butterscotch chips with sprinkles for various seasons. Have fun, the boys loved it. Something about the salty/sweet mix is really good.

We just use almond bark (white choc.) and melt it and dip it

I make peanut butter balls at x'mas and always have leftover chocolate that I dip pretzels in. For your pretzels, I would melt a bag of chocolate chips with 1/3 of a block of household wax (Gulf). You'll get a nice glaze on them. Good luck with your fund raising!

Is the Gulf wax for eating? I couldn't find anywhere on the box where it said you could eat it so I was afraid to try but I also couldn't find any parafin in the store to make candy with so I am confused. I know I've read recipes that said to use parafin I just wasn't sure it was the Gulf wax.

Yes, Kathy, Gulf Wax is very edible. I give peanut butter balls as x'mas gifts and have to make sure I get them packaged up before my husband gets at the leftovers. My recipe makes 300 of them and they are usually gone before x'mas gets here. I once had a fellow tell me that they were so good they would make him say "I do"!
