greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hello everyone been gone for a while seems like some things have changed!! Just wanted to share some happy news with everyone, I'm getting married on July 21,2001. I meet my honey whom only lived 2 blocks from meand we hit it off very fast. I didn't know how to approach the subject of homesteading without scaring the heck out of him (yes he knew about the animals garden etc but not all of my dreams of homesteading) so I started laying Countryside magazines around and several books around and he started reading them and one day he said "honey these books is how I want to live but didn't know where to start and if i was thinking right cause this seems so old fashion. Now I know I'm not crazy people really do this. You know you are kinda doing this already, aren't ya??"

Iwas floor but so relived that he felt the same way I do!!!! Hope to hear from some of my old buddys!!!!! Have a blessed day!!! Sandy from Florida

Congratulations! And he wants to Homestead also!

P.S. I tried your potatoe growing method (trash can) and harvested them this weekend, I only got 10 small potatoes, Oh well! Maybe next planting will be better.

Good Luck!

Congratulations . . . and how fortunate you are for meeting someone with the same dreams. My 'needle in a haystack' took a long time in finding each other, but was worth the wait
