Rain, Calvin the cat and the car pocket! [Preachin]

The slow gentle rain has started already and it's relaxin to hear it filter down through my pine trees. I can look out my patio doors and within 6 ft is a big pine tree. It's already grown 12" this year and will likely grow another 3 ft before fall hits. The sweet smell of those pine trees is something to enjoy! I can also smell the honeysuckle in the fencerow-about 50 ft west of our house.

To the outside in warmer weather and when supper ain't cook'n.Gentle rains, hot coffee and an easy chair sett'n in the dry. How can it get any better than this--yet it does!

Lil Dumplin has a "hoot built" garage of sorts and we call it the "car pocket" for lack of a better name. It don't qualify as a garage because it ain't quite square with the world--neither is it "plumb", nor level nor about anything else you'd expect for a garage. Still, it will do. It doesn't leak too bad! Better'n her vehicle sett'n out in the elements totally. Well anyhow--it's just the checkers for those summertime showers. Ole Calvin the cat, sets inside it with me as one end is open without a door. We can look at the songbirds-calvin wishin and me enjoy'n.

My birds are quiet now as they are already in the dry somewhere. Calvin is curled up on top of Lil Dumplins truck--in the carpocket. Fired taters with onions are smell'n up the house but I can live with that smell!! I'm batch'n so rekon it's fried taters with onions, and iced tea for supper.

Tomorrow is another day and we all have things to do. Question is---how many will get the chance to live another day? If some don't -then the next question is---just where will they be for eternity?

Jesus wants everybody to know that He is coming back sooner than anybody expected. Don't miss the opportunity to go at the "first trump" of God. Matt.24:44

Hoot.

I enjoy so much your warm and humorous descriptions of the country life. Your gentle gospel messages are a real comfort too. I praise God always that He is in complete control. His peace is all that keeps from becoming frantic with life situations that I cannot control. "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me."
