Success, sequel to 'How can I tell when they'll lamb'

Thanks to those who responded. We had one set of twins Thursday, and another set tonight. I had to pull on the first lamb, though I think the reason it came out was she finally rolled onto her side and the other one got out of the way. My 5 year old daughter witnessed that and was appropriately awed! The set born tonight was fast! From water to the first was 30 minutes, within the next hour both were here. She seemed to have a very easy time, what I expected from the Shetlands. They are both doing a great job of mothering. The third sheep looks 'ready' too, probably the next couple days. Such an exciting time. We feel blessed to live where we can see such miracles. The first set was brought out into the field to play today,(by the ewe) too cute. I can't wait till we have all of them out playing with the kids! By the way, both ate with vigor the meal before the event, and nibbled between contractions, made little effort to isolate themselves, and generally looked and acted pretty normal to within an hour. Glad I don't work, I wouldn't have known when to call off to be with them! Thanks again, Jill
