Can sows get impregnated while lactating?

Could anyone tell me whether or not a sow who has just had piglets will get pregnant if she is bred while she is still giving milk? In some mammals, lactation confers some temporary contraceptive effect; does this happen with pigs?

Yes, that is the normal procedure on factory farms. While she is nursing one litter, another one is growing inside her.

Yes, but they're not supposed to. Sows, unlike most other animals, in theory only become fertile after they've weaned the last litter (7 days after, to be exact). Good theory, and it almost always works; but if theory fails, and she's running with a boar, then guess what?
