Hi Francine. Have you found a certifying organization yet? I certified through American Doula Network. It is great. I love the curriculum format and the price and support is unbeatable. They even have an intranet site for all birth professionals regardless of certifying organization. You only need to be credentialed or enrolled in a program to join.
For the next couple days only there is a special where you can receive the birth doula and the postpartum doula certification at the price of just one program. It is an exceptional deal.
You can check it out at:
Feel free to email me with any questions. I have other sources of information for various certification programs and would be glad to help you in any way.
