Who has eliminated the traditional Performance Management system and what took its place? How do you appraise employees?

I have no idea about the book, but I appraise employees in the manner in which they do the work and the professionalism to wards the customer and their fellow workers. A team will go where individuals fear to tread. Customer service is what drives companies, service with excellent products gives results.
