Real Mothers

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.

RealMothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried playdough doesn't come out of carpet.

Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask "why me?" and get their answer when a little voice says, "because I love you best."

Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade. It is marked by the progression of Ma-ma to Mommy to Mom...

The Images of Mother:

4 YEARS OF AGE My Mommy can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE> My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.

14 YEARS OF AGE> Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.

16 YEARS OF AGE> Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.

18 YEARS OF AGE> That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AGE> Well, she might know a little bit about it.

35 YEARS OF AGE> Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE> Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE> Wish I could talk it over with Mom

Thanks Bonnie! I've noticed that as I grow older not only is my Mom becoming wiser but she's also living in my throat. Every time I yell at the kids, laugh out loud, and sing in the shower HER voice and words comes flying out of my face. I've also noticed in recent pictures of MY family how it seems she's always standing where I thought I was standing! And my, she's looking good!

LOL!! ME TOO! I look in the mirror and sometimes I have to take a second look because I am more closely resembling her all the time.

OOPS! That was my babies address thingy. Now how did that get there? LOL! He is my baby in size 14 shoes! YEP! More like my Mom every day. It used to scare me. But now I just shake my head and laugh.

Thanks Bonnie, as a mother of 3 teenage children which as of right now seems like such a thankless job this put a smile on my face. You see, My oldest has bipolar disorder and we just went through a major episode. Maybe someday she will appreciate every thing that I have done. I will keep the faith

Thanks for the smile. I am still working on getting mine to say ma ma now I see what I have to look forward to. I would like to give everyone who has already raised children my admiration and respect. It's everything I thought it would be and more. I can't believe he is already working on 6 mo.
