What songs are on the soundtrack of your life?

Oh, lessee... "Girl," by Tori Amos, for the earlier part of my life. Some nights, "Who Needs Sleep?" by Barenaked Ladies. "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," by Cyndi Lauper. "Hands," by Jewel. It's my shiny happy optimistic song. "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks. Duh. "Ice Cream," Sarah MacLachlan. "I'm Sensitive," again, by Jewel, and "Near You Always," same singer. "If I Fall," by Tara MacLean. "Shameless," Ani DiFranco. "These Dreams," by Heart. And those are from the albums I have here at work to refer to. "Two Out of Three" by Meatloaf for my first relationship. Probably about a million more Tori Amos songs. "God," "January Girl," and some other ones. Gotta get my CD collection organized, now that I think about it...

Hmm. Just about any song that is depressing.... ;+). Seriously, what I can think of so far is On My Own (from Les Mis), Shy (from The Princess and the Pea), Jewel's I'm Sensitive (like Tina), Masquerate (POTO), You'll Never Walk Alone (from Carousel), All I Have to Do is Dream, Rainbow Connection, Pappa Can You Hear Me/A Piece of Sky (sung by Michael Crawford), Billy Joel's My Life, and Bon Jovi's "It's My Life."

My life sound track would consist of "Breakdown" by Tom Petty---some of it mirrors my now defunct marriage. "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" sung by Al Green---just because his voice makes the song so heart wrenching. "Last Dance" by Frank Sinatra---because the sick romantic in me believes at some point I will dance to this perfect song w/the perfect guy. "At This Moment" by Billy Vera and Beaters--- once again reflects my marriage. And a predictable yet none the less important chick anthem "I Will Surive" by Gloria Gaynor.
