Someone sent me a great article on the mad cow problem. It is very very comprehensive and explains why their might be more to this story than meets the eye. The author, Mark Konlee, is a researcher in immunology with an emphasis on AIDS and CFIDS. Check it out at www.keephope.net You'll find it under Progressive Health News Vol 4, No 3 March 2001. Very interesting!!!

Hi Tiffany,,this mad cow stuff is scary,,it is like a phantom,,strikes without warning and no cure for it. Here in Montana they recently found a related disease in our Elk population. That is very scary. Where is it all going to lead? Folks won't be able to eat any sort of animal meat without wondering. Personally, I don't eat beef and pork except in spagetti sauce, may stop that too. I eat chicken, turkey, fish, any kind of seafood. Nothing is completely pure anymore. But this situation is worse than anything I have ever heard.***Thanks for the info on Mad cow disease, etc. Take care

You ain't kidding! I have a carb metabolism problems so vegetarianism is out for me. Fish is so expensive here I can rarely afford to eat it. I was hoping for alot of venison this year and I do eat alot of beef. Just cannot raise my own right now. I know MCD is not a big issue in the US yet, but I am afraid it might become one. Maybe it is time to look into raising rabbits?

This is probably the most comprehensive and balanced article I have seen on MCD. From my other reading, I agree there has to be a triggering agent, yet not understood.
