I have just been rereading one of my favorite homesteading books called Living On Less. It was originally published in 1983 and is a collection of reader written articles submitted to the old Mother Earth News during it's heyday period in the 70s'. In 1997 they put out the second edition which includes some of the more recent ideas for energy reduction and production and other issues that are relevant now. It is not as in-depth as Carla Emerys book, but it gives anyone whether they are in the dreaming-about stage or in the actually living-it part much useful information. I look back through it alot--helps me solidify my ideas.
