What state do you live in? How many gallons per day do you NEED?

Mark, haunt used book and magazine stores for about the first 90 issues of mother earth news. All are from the 70s and early 80s.About every other issue had plans for a solar hot water heater. After the mid 80s they turned into a yuppie magazine and went out of business for the first time.I'm hoping they go belly up again.also look on ebay for old mags .if you email me with a specific idea of what you want I can maybe do a scan of an artical and email it to you. Hi Mark. Being you live in southern Illinois it should be feasible for year around use, if your winter is mild. I would build in a drainage system just in case your local area does have considerable below 25 degree periods. Needing 75 gal. per day means you will require two heating cycles (I assume you will hook up to the existing water heater and use solar as auxiliary. Normally your existing heater will not cycle.) Just about any heating box type system should work. You will need to select one to build depending upon you building and plumbing skills.
