I need some tips on how to get the salon look back. I have curly hair that I straighten, but now with the new choppy look with bangs I am finding it hard to get it just right .I have tried and now I am desperate to get the same look back.

Thank you , I hope you can help?

I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the same style you are, but from what I'm picturing, it sounds similar to mine. My hair isn't curly but has some natural wave that I straighten out. My hair is layered with some longer bangs. What I do is put some volumizing mousse in it when it's wet. I then blow dry it until it's still damp but not quite dry. I then pin up the top two thirds and using a large round brush, blow the bottom third dry while curling the ends under. I do the same with the middle third. Then with the top third I do the same but make sure to blow kind of up so I have some volume. Then I blow the bangs with slight curl under. They tend to fall just about right so they don't lay heavy on my forehead. I can either have them lay purposely messy on my forehead or I can sweep them to the sides or completely integrate them into the rest of my hair for a no bangs look. It looks quite similar to the way it does when I walk out of the salon, as long as I don't let it get too long and then it weighs it down and totally ruins the look.

I don't know if this helps, but I wish you luck!

I've heard that washing your hair in beer makes you more attractive. Or mnaybe that was drinking beer. You wash, I'll drink then we can compare notes.

I think the biggest problem is that hairdressers can work all different angles with their two hands, whereas you're a bit more limited to how much you can bend and contort your own arms to style your own hair.

Products are important too. Go see your hairdresser, ask for some product suggestions, and the next time that you go get your hair done, ask then to slow down and show you what they do.

Then again i'm a hair klutz. I have gotten much better but my hair will NEVER look like it does when my hair goddess does it.
