Ourselves(Philosophy)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

First of all, I have a new granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth.

We recently received a very major heartbreak. Instead of getting depressed or angry, I thought I'd do what I've been preached at and preached to others. I'd accentuate the positive. I thought maybe you could join me in this. I'd like for all of us to post the 3 thing we love most about ourselves-personality. Then post the 3 things we love about our lives. If you have more than 3 that's o.k.. then post the 3 things you love about the most important person in your live, in my case it's my husband.

My 3 personality things are: I have a terrific sense of humor, I work hard and I am a survivor(that incluses all the lessons I've learned).

My life loves: My relationship with Jesus, my health routine(which includes my workout), my homesteading stuff.

My most important other: Listening to him sing, the way he cheers me up when I'm sad, angry, etc., he's so compassionate in ways that I am not, he works so hard (one of those that can do just about anything he sets his mind to).

I feel better just writing that. I'm sure reading your good stuff will lift me even higher. May God bring blessings to your life.

Congratulations on your granddaughter, Cindy. Madison Elizabeth is a beautiful name.

What I love about myself: I'm rock solid in a crisis; I am compassionate and caring; I will not back down from my convictions nor compromise my principles--ever.

What I love about my life: the freedom to do what I love; having a farm full of animals; not giving a sh*t about what other people think of me.

The most important people in my life--

Ed, my husband--for supporting me when other people said I was nuts (about many, many things over the years) and for never saying "I told you so" even though he could have many, many times.

Rosie, my oldest daughter--the most bubbly happy person I've ever known. My greatest wish is that she remains this way for the rest of her life.

Kady, my youngest daughter--such an insightful compassionate 14 year old who genuinely cares for animals like no other young person I've ever met. I also love her dry wit, she never fails to make me laugh with her wry observations of life.

First of all I will be keeping you in my prayers. Wherever two or more are gathered in His name, He will be there also! Hang tight Cindy!!! Now...3 personality things.... loving others comes easily for me, I try to give 150% to anything that I do, and I love to make others happy or make them laugh!

Lifes loves: First and foremost Jesus, second, My family, and then last but a close 3rd, my friends!

My Hubby!: He is a dovoted Christian, Husband, and Father! I love the way he makes me laugh! He works hard and has a kind heart!

Three thing I love about my personality. 1) I love that I have a relationship with Jesus. 2) I love that I stand for what I believe, even when other's disagree. 3) I love that God gave me an extremely creative personality.

Three things I love about my husband. 1) I love that he Loves the Lord as much as I do 2) I love that he is the head of our household. 3) I love that he cherishes me and my children, and puts me second in his life.

Things about me: ultimately a survior type; desire to give others the benefit of the doubt; aility to see beauty in all God's creation;

Things about life: able to live in the country and work with my hands toward a lifestyle I enjoy; blessed with a large and wonderful family; knowledge that in All thing God is sovereign and doesn't do things or allow things in a random fashion;

I would have to say my husband AND my kids are all important and special for different reasons. They make every day special and unique. Even the trying ones...but then life is a learning experience and they help ME grow!
