Now Don't Laugh! When I was 14, I lived in town and had gone with a friend down the street to see if she could spend the night at my house. While she was inside getting permission, I looked up over the trees and saw what looked like two moons. Full moons! About the same size. And large in appearance like when the moon is low in the sky.Well I thought my eyes must be playing tricks on me and I just sort of shook my head and it was still there. I rubbed my eyes and looked again and it was still there. Side by side with the moon. I watched in amazement while this thing moved up to the right at about 1 o'clock. Then down and to the right to about 3 o'clock.Fairly slow. Then it moved from 3 to 7 oclock so fast that if I had blinked, I would have missed it and dissappeared from site behind the trees.I don't recall it leaving any traces of light behind it.And it didn't make any noise that I heard. That was the one and only time I ever saw it or anything like it.Can't explain what it was any better than that.So I guess it was an official UFO.

Haven't seen one, but I've heard one. I say that because it was the neighbor who saw it at the same time that I heard it. My mother asked me if that was my horse making that noise in the back yard and I told her that horses catagorically do not hum. The neighbor saw it, but wouldn't admit it to anyone for a LONG time until we were discussing it one day much later.

As a child, I did get to see the very famous Extra Terrestrial flapjacks given to Joe Simenton that you may have read about in UFOlogy books. If you haven't, the story is that aliens landed in his back yard and requested water, which he gave them. They were cooking breakfast in their ship, and gave him some of the pancakes. He got razzed something awful about the story, and refuses to speak to anyone about it anymore since they won't believe him. At the time, they were displayed at Bonson's Foods (grocery store) and I still remember them sitting on a paper plate on a Tv table. My mother and I looked at the cold pancakes sitting there, and I remember feeling kind of creepy about the idea of extraterrestrials (I was only about 12), but just the same, I looked at the rather burned things (aliens must not have been good cooks) and said "Mom, those look an awful lot like YOUR pancakes!" We didn't call her The High Priestess for nothing (Burnt Offerings nightly, at the dinner table). If you want to read more about it, 'The W-Files; True Reports of Wisconsin's Unexplained Phenomena' by Jay Rath. Some are interesting, some are funny, a couple are questionable, but it's entertaining.

Well I wasnt going to respond but then I read Bonnies experiance and I just had to. When I was a young wife and mother and lived out in southern Mo. MY neighbor took care of my little one while I worked at the marina. I was working evening sift at the time and didnt pull in untill late, around 11 or 12. Now my neighbor, Tressie, lived behind a cow pasture and one had to open and close two cow gates to get to her home. I wasnt as aware at this time of my life, of the moon and its cycles , when I pulled up to the first cow gate I got out to open the gate , then pulled my car through then got out and shut the gate behind me, all this time I was thinking boy what a nice light the moon is shining down and highlighting the gates and I could see without any troble. Well, when I got to the second cow gate I was alarmed to discover that (the Moon) was no longer highlighting the gates, in fact there was no moon in sight in the cloudless stary night sky. A shiver ran down my spine, Something had been bright and shiny and what I had assumed to be the moon was suddenly no longer there!

Hey Hoot! Have you ever seen any UFO's?

The story I want to relate is one that did not happen to me, but did in fact happen in the town where I presently live, back in either 1980 or 1981. This was documented by police and a local hospital. The three people involved still live in this area and are interviewed from time to time by The Houston Chronicle or some local papers. It also made the national news at the time and has been featured on various 'mystery' tv shows.

The story goes that a middle aged woman, her daughter, and the daughter's son, a small child at the time, were driving home about 11 pm one night from a church bingo game. The were traveling in the area of southeastern Montgomery County, TX, where FM 1485 West and FM 2100 intersect. The road was very dark and narrow, with no shoulder and deep ditches on either side. (I know the road is still like that because I go that way to my parent's house a few times every week, but strangely enough, that stretch of road had been repaved numerous times since this happened--even though the road never really needed to be repaved). Suddenly, the middle aged woman, who was driving, saw a very bright light hovering over the roadway, and many military and civilian helicopters hovering around it. She stopped her car because the light had descended to sit on the road. All three got out of the car to try to see what it was, but the light was so intense they could not make out anything except the helicopters above it. They reportedly felt intense heat and reported a 'rushing' sound, like wind blowing at a very fast speed. They retreated to their car, where the woman found she could not touch the door handle to open the car, because it was extremely hot. At this point the light ascended and flew off over the tree tops with the helicopters going with it, and she got the car door open and started the car and they went on home. Later that night, the small boy woke up ill, vomiting and covered with a red speckleld rash. Soon all three were very ill and went to a hospital located at the intersection of Loop 610 and Wallisville Road, in Houston. Doctors were puzzled, and after many tests and examinations by infectious disease experts, they finally concluded that the only thing that could produce those kinds of symptoms was radiation poisoning. The three were questioned and related their experience, and suddenly everything was, as the older woman later told a reporter, "hushed up". In the days that followed they developed other symptoms of radiation poisoning like losing hair, burns, etc. Examination of their car by local scientists working on behalf of the Chronicle concluded that the chrome was badly pitted with barely visible streaks, caused by some unknown factor, and the whole car was very radioactive.

Not much else ever came of this story. The three were frequently visited by what they called 'government agents' who asked them the same questions over and over again.

This is a factual story. Now, what it was that the three saw is another story--UFO or top-secret experimental military craft?

I don't know if I saw a UFO or not. I saw something weird. I was in London (England). It was getting on towards dusk (August, I think), and I don't know WHY I looked up, but I did. I saw something float over, high above. You wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't been looking up. I have no words to describe it. My mind can't seem to grasp what it looked like in order to describe its appearance -- I can't relate it to anything I have seen here, not even any Sci-Fi F/X. I did have an impression of a cross between something mechanical and something living, but that doesn't really convey it. I do know that I noticed that it was utterly silent, and its motion was sort of a cross between floating and (silent) propulsion, but that doesn't really describe it either. No one else looked up, I blinked, and it was gone. I have no idea what that was all about, but I wasn't drinking, and I don't do drugs, and it wasn't jet lag. It still kind of creeps me out because of its "alienness" -- my inability to relate it to anything else.

I've seen two for certain "UFO's" and a couple of just strange things in the sky that I couldn't really explain, but might have been some kind of astronomical phenomena.

The first one I saw when I was 12 or 13. I had been baby sitting and was walking home on a full moon night. It was about 1:30 or so and I looked to the east and saw a very bright full moon.....then I looked to the west and saw a 3/4 moon. I was young, but knew that we didn't have 2 moons here on earth. I looked back to the eastern "moon" and it started to zig zag towards me VERY rapidly. It scared the pants off me and I took off running as fast as I could hit the front door and locked it tight behind me. I wasn't on drugs or over tired or anything....just saw something inexplicable.

The next on was on a return trip to California from here in Texas actually. My friend and I always do six hour shifts when driving cross country and mine had just started and my friend was sleeping in back of the truck. We were 50 something miles east of Demming, NM on I-10. To the south I noticed a black object that was kind of pacing with the car along the mountains. It was incredibly windy, really blowing, and the thing was keeping EXACTLY the same altitude. It was very low for a plane and didn't really look like the shape of a plane or a helo. It was slightly in front of us at first and looked black.

I woke up my friend to have a look at the thing and we just watched as it hung right with us for 56 miles. Then it turned silver! I told my friend..."That's it! We're getting off at the next exit and going to see what the heck that thing is!" BOOOOOOM, we had a blow out on brand new tires. I was going about 80, so after I got pulled off the road we looked again and the thing was GONE.

My dad was a pilot and I spent every summer until I was seventeen at the EAA conventions, so I am a "little bit" versed in what happens to planes and helios in high winds and there is no way that anything going that relatively slow with a small amount of mass could have maintained such an exact altitude in those high winds.

I never was abducted!...that I know of >:)-

Hi, Hoot, I live next door to a town that has not one, but several UFO museums and gift shops with all kinds of stuff pertaining to UFO's. Can't say as I've ever seen any myself, except during first week of July every year during the UFO festival, all kinds of interesting people and vehicles around town. All kinds of books and information are available for perusing and musing, though.

Hoot

Saw 1 back in 1978. We were passing a church and saw a good deal of the congreation on their knees out in the yard. We stopped and looked up near the highway and watched as a Circular object flew directly overhead. I ran towards the object (Hey I was raised on Star Trek) I was illuminated in a red light for about 50 secods. The object made a 45 degree turn and shot straight up. UFO reports were made from KIngs Mountain,NC to Richmond Virgina. Heres the thing all reports matched description but sightings were within 18 minutes of each other. Fast Bugger. Got my Pic in locale paper. :o) Seems they thought I was Brave for "investigating" the object. Heck I was yelling "Beam me up Scotty" Not much intelligent life here on this dust ball.

Really happened. After that Junior High Seemed really dull.
