Does anyone know of a website devoted to properties for sale by owner - especially rural properties?

What state are you looking in?

A search for "rural property for sale" will bring up a lot of sites, but most of them, if not all, are realtors. But they are fun and informative to look at.

My father is preparing to sell my grandmothers farm. Eighty acres in north east Indiana. Big beautiful barn. Most of the beams still have bark on them. House is old inside, but has all new windows and siding and roof. Right across the road from the wabash river. I always wanted the place, but now it doesn't seem sensible to take it. If eighty acres is too much, there is a farmer next door that may be interested in the land. It would be wonderful to see a homesteader buy this instead of a farmer buying it for the ground and letting renters trash the place.

I have a house for sale with 1.25 acres. fruit trees, big garden chicken house, goat barn wood shed and two storage sheds. I live sort of in a neighborhood, but it is very country, no restrictions, could have pigs if you wanted them. About 7 miles from town. The house is very large and has a mil apt. attached. It was perfect when my mom was living and our 5 children were home. Now it is just the two of us. We definitely need to downsize!

Have a look at my neighbours place www.personalagent.com It is very rural, and she doesn't mention the various outbuildings. She keeps ducks/geese/peacocks each with their own housing and there is another large barn/garage. Landscaped with apple/plum/peach/quince trees to name a few. But it's Canadian!
