Remember Bush's most popular campaign statement...

"He trusts the Federal government, I trust the people" ?

Only a few days later, and his actions have proven him to be a liar. The people of Florida are pleading for their votes to be counted. What does he do?... files a case with the Federal government court to suppress them, denying them their right to have their votes counted by hand.

Quite obviously, he has behaved in exactly the opposite manner of what he promised to America only days ago. He trusts Federal government, and he doesn't trust the people.

If this pattern of behavior continues, he will do exactly as his father did... promise tax CUTS, but instead pass MORE taxes.

Step back and look at it from a logical perspective, There was a count of all the votes and Bush won but it was close so then came a recount required by flordia law he won the recount. Then Gore wanted a hand count there is no law in florida to hand count the vote. So what happens Gore the slick little bastard says If you give me what I want I won't sue you. George Bush has followed all the laws as did the sec. of state Katherine Harris. Gore keeps saying how he has faith in our country and our democracy. If thats true I think Al Gore should conceed the presidency and crawl under a rock and never be heard from again. Kritter, you may think you are just being funny, but IMO it's pretty sad. You haven't explained how you think Democrats can be cheating while Republicans are supervising the entire process. Do you have any proof that gives you the right to refer to your fellow Americans as "cheaters"? I don't think you do. I don't get off on calling people cheaters, but think about this... if all the votes are not counted because Republicans manage to exclude those counted by hand, then who is really being cheated, and who is doing the cheating?

If the hand counts don't get counted it's not because Republicans are cheaters It's because they are not needed we know who won right now but the dnc is willing to let go.
