greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Just moved to Flagstaff from Florida, and my bread recipes aren't working. Anyone from this area, or similiar who has some recipes to share? Thanks, Sissy

Add extra flour depending on the size of loaf 1 to 2 tbls, also make sure it is warm enough for the yeast to "work".

Utah State Extension has an absolutely fantastic "short course" on line about bread baking and focuses on their altitude. I can't find the web address right now but will keep looking. Another good site for bread baking is www.angelfire.com/ab/bethsbread/FrontPage.html.

I'm in central Missouri, altitude under 1000', so I won't be much help otherwise.
