Where can I get info and see the Bosch mixer?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I have heard alot about the Bosch mixers and was wondering if they have a website and/or catalog I could request etc. I am interested in starting to bake homemade bread and I love to bake and do quite a bit of it (as gifts) for people around the holidays. I was thinking about getting a 475 watt Kitchenaid mixer with a 6 qt bowl (saw it on sale recently for about $350.00 but then I wondered if I should check into the Bosch mixer and possibly get one of those instead. I don't have much counter space but would make space somehow. Any thoughts on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

I have owned both a Kithenaid and aa Bosch mixer. I got rid of my Kitchenaid. The Bosch is so much more versatile than the Kitchenaid. It will make more loaves of bread at one time than the Kitchenaid. I also have a food processor and a blender with mine. This machine may have been expensive to begin with but it is used everyday. I could write a page full of what this machine has done for us. Cindy

Try a search online for Bosch Universal. They start at $329. Everyone I know who has one uses it for everything (including me). If you get one, you'll never regret it.

I had a Bosch mixer for almost 20 years--sold it to get something that was supposed to be better--did not even come close! That one fell apart a couple years after I bought it. Have wanted another Bosch since, but didn't have the money. You can imagine how thrilled I was to walk into Goodwill thrift store a month ago, and find one there for $6.99!! Works great--if I had the money to buy whatever I wanted though, the Bosch would be what I would get, hands down!
