find a job in the USA

Hi, I'm 22 years old and I'm working for a weel-known online advertising agency based in Quebec. French is my first language and in Quebec everybody speaks french. I'm really bright and a hard worker. I'm consultant specialized in marketing (Branding, viral marketing, competitive analysis...). I work about 100 hours per week. But I never improve my english and I really want to work in the United States. So the problem is my english is not perfect but I'm ready to accept a small wage to prove my worth. My skills are very good in online marketing and I worked for some big clients

Jerome, you have to start thinking in term of where your language will serve as an advantage. Then think US companies who would need such a service and finally do research regarding how to obtain a work permit, the possibilties of companies getting work permits for you.

Even if someone in the States wants to give you an opportunity you have to someone sort out the paperwork and even then your potential sponsor has to show you why an American cannot do the job you have been called in to do.

The only possibility I can think of right now that might yield some promise is working for the United Nations. How you do that I don't know, but French is the working langauge of the UN (as well as English) and so I can see a possibilty there and you could do that through the Canadian delegation. How you go about following that route I don't know but its just one possiblity.

If you want to determine others, list out your strengths on one page and weaknesses on another. Then try to brainstorm some possiblities.

The best shot you might get is to follow up with consulting houses in Quebec and find out if they need the kind of services you can provide and the large houses often have projects in the United States which you might be able to piggyback on.

Other than that, I am clueless how else you can do it.

In my honest opinion, you should look for something like Cirque du Soleil who could use someone like you, after all they produce and promote shows in the USA, for not saying all around the world.

Hope that helps, best regards
