Put in an innertube. We tried other things, but had little lasting power. Had the same trouble on the Gator, till we went to innertubes. Other suggestions welcomed by us as well

I am blessed with an OLLLDDD wheelbarrow that has an iron wheel. I also have one with an inflatable tire, but that one always is having flats. There is this stuff called "Slime" that I am going to try, you put it in like fix a flat and it's supposed to completely coat the inside of the tire and make it next to indestructible. I will be trying it in the next few weeks, but you might try the tube before then.

Go back to walmart & get the inner tube. Save your self a lot of grief by getting the tube when you buy the wheel barrow.

you know that expanding foam you use for cracks around the house. I filled up my wheelbarrow tire with that stuff. You only get one chance to get it all filled, so I overfilled it and cut off the excess. never has gone down yet, and its hard as a rock.

Stan, do you remove the stem and fill the tire that way?

The tube sounds like a good idea.

Another method I've read about - remove the tire from the rim, sand the inside of the rim clean (where the tire & rim bond), then re-mount and fill. They may have also mentioned putting soap (or something...) on the cleaned rim surface prior to the remount.

now use this sugestion only on non highway tires and remember antifreeze is toxic if consumed by animals .if the tire leeks air and you cant aford a innertube ,make a slury in a blender of antifreeze water ,and newsprint this will seal the tire just like the comercial slimes

I want to turn this problem upsight down! Does anyone know wheelbarrow tires of solid rubber or equal maaterial. I have a company in Finland, selling mostly gardentools. Many of my clients could buy a tire which resists nails and thorns etc. Give me a hint! Thanks in advance for your opinions, does this type of tire exist?

I'll tell you what I do.. I get my friend Kevin to hold a rope on the damn thing and we fumble with it for a while and every time I get close to getting the thing filled up, Kevin gets scared and runs off like a baby, then I am at risk for the thing blowin up on me... anyway I just decided to move the dirt a shovel load at a time
