MPEG creation

Hi

I have a CD Writer and would like to know that if I copy a *.mpg file from my PC (thru drag and drop) on to a CD-R disk can I play it on my DVD player as it is. I have an Adaptec CD creator version 3.5b, but it does not give me any option to burn a video cd. Please advise. Thankyou.

your mpg files should also comply with vcd standards to ensure that it will play on your dvd player. go to this site for more info...

You also have to make sure your DVD player supports VCD's and CD-R and/or CD-RW media
