nature vs nurture

my question simply is are we born to be successful or are we at the mercy of the environment that we have been raised in. There are so many books and speakers that claim we can do anything that we set our minds to, are they selling dreams?. I recently purchased a book titled UNSTOPPABLE by Cynthia Kersey who again states that we can be whoever we want to be.If I buy into that philosophy then there should be nothing that I can't do.For example I would like to start up a radio station in Vancouver that plays nothing but Progressive music, but I have been told that it will never work. Do I follow my bliss or listen to everbody and not bother? Also is it realistic to believe that i can find a way to be wealthy enough to do all the things that i would like to do as long as i follow my dreams? Is SUCCESS PREDETERMINED for us?

Robert this may be a weird way of answering your question but please bear with this answer.

One thing we do in this world is get to grieve for every human being who has passed away in our time who we may have loved, who may have touched us in some way. Yet the strange thing is that we never grieve for our own passing.

Once we understand our temporary nature, once we have accepted our own grief of our own passing, at that moment, we lift our heads up and everything in the world shall be a symbol of temporary success.

So are we born to be successful? of course we are but that's because we are the only ones who can determine for ourselves what success is and what success isn't.

Wealth is a result of actions that you take. Yes I believe that goal setting is an effective strategy in life and we know that only 3% of the population sets goals, yes, when wealth is concerned, life becomes a numbers game, play the game well enough and you will at some point begin to acquire wealth. Once you know how to put money into someone elses pocket and know what the right pockets are this success game becomes very elite and very sterile, even the Bible says, give and you shall receive...

At the end of the day who cares about what Cynthia Kersey says, what is important in this lifetime is what Robert Zaccarelli believes is possible and what Robert Zaccarelli does to prove that possibility and what Robert Zaccarelli does to prove the impossibilities, the self limiting beliefs and that unchallenged view of the world.

Personally, if I want my environment to shape me, it will shape me, and if I want life to surprise me then I won't make any assumptions about it, albeit that I have grieved for my passing and now that I understand what reality really is.

I can get on with what's left of my life and smile upwards to the heavens to something greater up above and say thanks for the borrowed time and a promise to myself that I will try to use it wisely or at least to the best of my given intentions.

Now if Robert Zaccarelli wants to start a progessive music radio station in Vancouver and only three people listen to it, in my book, that's three human beings who shared something unique and special with Robert Zaccarelli. Now multiply that by its greater possibilities and as far as I am concerned who in this world but Robert Zaccarelli can really understand the potential or power that Robert Zaccarelli truly holds and who but Robert Zaccarelli has the body parts and mind to take him there.
