Comments on the film being seized..

greenspun.com : LUSENET : No Extra Day : One Thread

The emails are starting to come in about the film being seized. First thing I wanted to say was that I promised early on to keep you guys informed and, good or bad, you deserve it. You are part of the crew as far as I'm concerned.

I wanted to get a post here so everyone can get their opinion out there.

Frank Merritt dropped me a great email. In it he asked the question on everyone's mind. I thought I'd post it here:

>What do you plan to do to remedy the situation (I.E. your seized film)?

Well, many have stated that what they are doing is past legally questionable and has moved on to flat out extortion. Me personally, I just want the film. If they are willing to steal the film over this they might be willing to damage or "lose" it. I'm going to find the quickest way to pay them and get my movie back.

After that...well...the first rule of Project Mayhem...

I honestly think they just want to squeeze blood from a stone here, and that they wouldn't cause any actual harm to the film itself (or the DATs) in fear of a giant lawsuit -- and trust me, I would whore myself out to the best lawyer in town just for the satisfaction of making those fuckers BLEED.

But there's a little voice in the back of my head that's saying, "Hey, fuckface. Go get money and pay the bastards off before anything goes horribly wrong." I think I'm going to heed that little voice.

Medical experimentation for profit, here I come.

I would be willing to discuss helping out with this problem, money- wise. Maybe come on board as an investor or something... email me private and we can discuss.

It seems everything is going against this film getting to the audience, but I really hope you guys keep fighting to the very end. I wish you the best of luck in resolving this Atrocity.

Just remember, don't get mad..get EVEN. Once this is all resolved and the film is a great hit, atleast you will already have a story for your next film.

Good Luck, Were all with you.

Hey, y'all know me. I'll bring a cleaning crew and the firepower, you bring the pizza and the Sawzall. Killing people for the film... yeah, I'd be all for that.

Eleven months after the fact, I would like to thank you Michael for mentioning my email on your website. I'm still waiting for the next post on your Film progress tab(it gets a little tiresome reading the same paragraph from May 20 over and over again! Hint!:). You mentioned in passing somewhere on the website Your Next Project. What's that going to be about?

This is a cool website.

Frank
