Its Wild Plum Time!!!!!!!!

Here in NE Kansas wild plums are sooo ready! Here's a cool recipe I found in one of my foraging cookbooks. Wild plum jam.....heat 2 qts. wild plums in 1 cup water til soft. Remove pits from plums and add back to water. Add 6 cups of honey and boil hard for 20 minutes; stirring constantly ttil thick. Put in hot jars...either seal or put melted parrafin on top. Yummy! This is one of the Christmas gifts that I am making this year. Beth

Another Wild Plum Jam recipe 3 c. sugar ,2 c. water . Add 2 qts. of Wild Plums (pitted),Bring to full boil, Cook 3 min. Then add 3 c. sugar. Cook 6 min. Put in hot jars and seal.
