greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

Would everyone who bickers back and forth like preschoolers about 'nana-doomzers-nana-pollies' head to another playground? Maybe there were scheisters making bucks off of Y2K. There were alot of others, including our own government, that spent big bucks on the 'just in case' preps. This wasn't just about Billybob stocking up on rice ya know. This repetitive infantile quarreling and mudslinging about who was right and who was sub-human is getting very old. If someone is naive enough to believe that life as we know it will just go on forever, then let them float in their delusions. It may be that we will enjoy many many years of relative peace, and it may be that life as we know it will come to a crashing halt. Who knows? If someone claims to know, then award them with the 'little god' badge so we can all admire them. This forum has potentially much to offer in shared information, shared OPINIONS, and civil debate. If you can't partake in an adult forum, then please find your Cyber Romper Room quickly. Thank you. Rant off.

'little god' badge

Wow!!! That's a keeper!!!

Very original, Mumsie. I like it. I like it a whole lot!

Something very special, awarded to a special person, every year, scratch that, make it every 2000 years. The god of Y2K Badge!

Now let's see, who should we consider...

"If someone is naive enough to believe that life as we know it will just go on forever, then let them float in their delusions."

If someone is gullible enough to believe that life as we know it will end at the drop of a hat on a specific date with little or no evidence, then let them float in their delusions as well.

Agree with some of your sentiment, mumsie, but I do not believe anyone should leave. The quarrels will die a natural death. How many flame fests has hawk been involved in lately? At one time this dominated the headlines. There are no hatfields and mccoys here-it will go away.

No one should be asked to leave.

Here's a more practical solution, Mumsie.

Skip over anything you don't want to read.

You'll likely find it to be more effective than attempting to adjust the content of this forum to be more to your liking.
