Are there Oberhasli in or near Kansas for sale?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I'm now looking for an Oberhasli (milk goat) breeder of good reputation withen 200 miles of Emporia, Kansas. Does anyone know of anyone at all???

Thanks so much for all the help in finding suitable breeds, please help me find some close now! You all are great. I just subscribed to the mag. a few days ago, after finding this website, and checking one out from the local library.

Might want to go over to EGroups.com and join the obie list. Someone over there could surely tell you. Might also want to join the Oberhasli association. Vicki

Marty have a friend that raises goats at El Dorado, Ks. & another friend that raises goats at Rose Hill, Ks. They seem to know almost all the goat breeders around this area of Ks. We live at Cedar Point, Ks. Welcome! I'll try to find out from these people if they know anyone! Sonda in Ks.

Marty, talked to both of my friends & neither one knows of anyone that raises that breed of goat in this area--but they will keep checking---best wishes. Sonda down the road in Ks.

Marty, Don and Martha Fitzmaurice in Welda,Kansas(by Garnett)have Oberhasli's, they are good people too. Also Deborah Mangelsdorf of Manhattan has them, and Sandra Robinson of Manhattan,Ks. If you need a phone number you can email me. There is also a dairygoat show in Coffeyville,Ks August 12 and 13th(I think that is the right dates)and you could certainly meet some Oberhasli people there. karen
