Killer auction of y2k stuff

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

A totally first class compound built as a y2k hospital is now auctioning everything off. To make the story short, it was a family of doctors that built the place in nowhere Arkansas and have gone back to Miami. The local auctioneer and folks havent got a clue as to what every thing is worth and dont care, but damn! folks, we are talking over a hundred grand of inverters, batteries, diesel and gasoline generators, tanks, 20 tons of food, stores, guns, and even a steam generator powerplant with heating and the list goes on. It will probably go for a penny on the dollar. Call the hicksville auctioneer at 870 793 6507

Wow Skip, Wish I were near there. Sounds like it would really be a great auction. Maybe you will be able to buy some of the stuff at a really good price and can sell it to some of us as well. Then you earn some money and we get good deals too.

Hi Skip, Can you give more info about the auction - time, place, etc. I have called the auctioneer twice and requested info but he never bothers to return the call. Doesn't want to have people come to the auction I guess. I appreciate your help. Thank you.
