Something Steve Learned at the Energy Fair.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hi all

Finally got a little sleep after three days of nonstop talking. It was great to see everyone at the fair so many great people and so little time.

We talked to a lot of people and hopefully they will send in their stories. One of the things I heard the was that nobody would care to hear their story, but that was the part they liked most about Countryside.

Everyone of you is actually doing something today that someone else out there is thinking about. I know a lot of the things I do don't always work and most of the time they never look like what I thought it would be when done. But I learn something from everything I do with good or bad results and that's the way it should be. A lot of people are afraid they won't do something right so they do nothing I'm afraid I will get it right the first time and not get to play with it, but with a homestead it doesn't take long to find something else to keep me busy.

As you can see with this forum there is so many knowledgeable and helpful people out there that the people not coming to the forum are missing so much. I want the readers of Countryside to have as much info as we can pack in each and every issue. You don't have to be a great writer or even a good speller just send in a story and pictures and we will get it out to the people that would love to hear about your adventures.

I talked to one gentleman that wrote a story 8 years ago and he said he still is getting mail from people that loved it. So see if you can swamp my mailbox with stories or things for the workshop and pictures you can email them to me or snail mail them. I have to go catch up on chores but I love to hear from each and everyone of you. Thanks for making Countryside more like fun than work for me.

Make every day the best you can

Steve

Hey Steve, it's FUN to *read* Countryside, too! Thank you so much!

One of these days I'll write something. Can we use our forum names?
